smokeybandit
32.4 degrees but it still can't decide if it wants to be rain, sleet or snow.
mayjawintastawm
Flipped to snow here at 5650' at 9:45, 33 F now. Accumulating on cars, grass, and unfortunately leaves... There should be some interesting reports from the foothills.

mayjawintastawm
2.7" super-wet snow in the yard, lightening up and warming a couple degrees.
ValpoVike
I think it is basically done here. Accumulations were marred by the very high water content and the most I could measure was 5.5” due to compaction and melting. My weather station is showing 1.05” of liquid but I don’t have a heater on it so I’m not certain on the actual amount.
smokeybandit
Best I can guess is 2" here. I had 1.91" of liquid precip since Thursday night and 1.22" of that today until things froze up so we'll see what gets added to that when it melts.
smokeybandit
Ended up with 1.88" of precip on the day with about 0.6" of that falling as snow or just that slop that came and went after it warmed up mid afternoon. 2.55" on the week. Great start to spring.
Roger Smith
Jacob Lake AZ north of Grand Canyon at 8,000' elevation had about 2-3" new snow late Friday, we drove through that area Saturday and it was barely above freezing but at lower elevations it was 55-60 F with a few leftover rain showers and sunny breaks. It has cleared out totally now in Kanab UT and looking for 70-75 F highs on Sunday. Saw two rare condors near Lees Ferry AZ, nine foot wingspans, prehistoric looking.

We've been to Jacob Lake, heck it's chilly even in August. Camping there in summer is like fall camping most other places. Very cool about the condors, never seen one. ValpoVike
Final tally was 1.72” liquid. Really great moisture.
Chinook
heavy snow amounts of 10" to 24" at the National Park
mayjawintastawm
A bunch of reports in the mountains were SNOTEL estimates based on a 10:1 ratio, so may in this case have been inflated. Still, no quibbles with great water! We finished with 2.60" from this storm, which I think was accurate because the snow did a good job of melting after it fell rather than blowing around or sublimating. They seem to try to give winter one last unwelcomed gasp. EDIT: I just checked 12z and both are backing off.
