Hvward
The pattern setting up for Mon/Tues of next week has moisture and cold, two things we haven't been able to line up yet this season. I just looked back at the last 10 runs of the GFS and at this range, I would take any of those setups this far out. Magic can happen here in WNC with patterns like this. Euro also has a very nice look now, but looking back at the past several runs, it has been all over the place. Now it is showing something similar to the GFS. At this range, this is a pattern we should all like. Setups similar to this have worked out many times in the past for us. Looking forward to coming home from Puerto Rico and tracking this beast. Full disclosure I was really pulling for the last system to turn into a dud since I was going to be out of town lol. 21

WxKnurd
24 for my low on my tropical mountain land in NE Haywood. @Met1985 frozen tundra takes sucks all the cold air away from me.
Hvward
We could see a very high end Northwest Flow event on Friday and into Saturday if we have a low bomb out over the Great Lakes. With the ULL as well that looks awesome. This would be the type to bring Downtown Asheville an inch or two if it verifies. 11

WNC_Fort
Latest GFS is a perfect example of what @wncsnowand I have warned about/feared. Sure, we get the cold and then suddenly the moisture disappears. Joy

Probably a good call with high winds and flooding. It just isn’t worth it.
Met1985
Also the moisture coming from the gulf looks very impressive. I'm afraid that there are going to be a lot of power outages coming by tomorrow morning especially with the high winds and possibly embedded storms.
BooneWX
Ain’t gonna lie yall. I’ll be happy for the TN Valley forum but I’ll throw up seeing that much snow west of the apps knowing how close it was. Guess I better get the bag ready. 2
