Just had a little graupel and rain move through here in Wolf.

Numerous people are telling me it's pouring huge flakes up around 4500'. They're visible on rays webcam at the country club.

I wondered about this little clipper today.

Probably gonna have to head up to Roan on Wednesday morning with thunder a possibility.... :)

They only listed my township (Faust) on the header lol.

As with most border areas, the actual orientation of the flow will make a noticeable difference here. If there's more of a northerly component, my mountain is at least 1800' higher than everything upstream. A more westerly component, and we get a rainshadow effect from the northerm madison county mountains. As usual, I'll be satisfied with an inch or two.

Euro Weeklies look great from Mid month to mid January.  Yes we are entering a mild period but this has been forecast for months.  Again no surprise.

I will say the weeklies showed a good pattern coming up most of last winter and it never came to fruition.

Yeah true and the ensembles were no better. You think we stink it up again this year and have a warm rainy winter again?

I don't think it will be as warm and it will be better than last winter. We probably have 2 or 3 shots of decent snow in the foothills with gulf lows/miller b CAD systems. I think late Jan-February will be the best timeframe with Nino climo.

With that being said, I think the Pacific could royally screw us again if it keeps screaming. December will likely not have any big threats due to the Pacific and general lack of cold air in North America.

Good luck overnight into tomorrow morning Mountain folk! There are some hints of a few areas potentially favorable for thundersnow early in the morning. Barring any convective element here at 3300 ft, I'm not expecting much if any accumulation. It just looks too dry near the Valley for anything to accumulate. Fingers crossed that I wake up surprised tomorrow morning.

Just had a rain shower push through. Maybe it’s my imagination but I would’ve swore there was a few snowflakes mixed in. Sitting at 39 and slowly dropping. Here’s to hoping for a car topper in the morning and good luck to you higher elevation people.
I had snow at 47 yesterday. It's entirely possible.
