Met1985
Looks like the moisture is set up for the long haul. A very nice feed of moisture coming down from the lakes.

Tacoma
First time I've seen the ground covered for a couple of years. Snowed really hard earlier , looked like a blizzard. I think we've had about 1/2 inch in Candler. Flakes still falling.
WxKnurd
Made it to the top of Max Patch, what an experience. Snow wasn’t ripping like the drive up but the wind was howling. Drifts waist deep and almost bare areas on the summit. 3-6” is my best guess based on various measurements in protected spots. Pics to come, might try to upload a quick video I took too.
wncsnow
I'm a little disappointed we haven't had better rates since the heavy band earlier. A lot has melted and the sun has been out for the majority of the afternoon. Still grateful to see snow!
WxKnurd
18.7 here and the snow has pretty much been reduced to flurries for now (was coming down good when I got home but didn’t last long into my hike up to the top of the mountain) with the sun wanting to peek out, fully expect some more to get cranked up as we progress into the evening though the way the wind is whipping. I’d say 1-1.5” here thus far, hard to tell because of how much it’s blown around. Would be nice to hit or exceed 3” mark, so we’ll see. Pics from here at home.

Tyler Penland
5" and still coming down. Seeing more breaks than earlier today. I'd imagine Beech is getting absolutely hammered if this much is making it to me.

Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk Sounds about right, it was definitely 30-40 mph wind sustained on Max Patch summit. Whiteout conditions just from blowing snow.

Tyler Penland
So close to 6 but starting to get downsloped a bit.Hopefully we can eek out that last quarter. Been a while since I saw two 6" events in a week.
WxKnurd
You’ve had a great week @Tyler Penland! We need weeks like this to come back more often, no reason this can’t be a multi-week occasion per winter month (I blame the Pacific).

Maggie Valley Steve
Down to 21 and snow stopped completely a couple of hours ago. Looks like I'm done for this event. Time to hibernate and frankly looking forward to the break coming next week!
Buckethead
It's 10° and still snowing hard, but I don't have a clue how much snow I have. What I can report is that my hot tub is currently 103°. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk 6
