LOL GFS.  It went from a high here on Sunday of 47F at 12z run to a high of 56F at 18z.  Typical GFS 48 hour forecast.

It has to do with the onset of precip. So that’s not too crazy. Let not forget two days ago the euro had parakeets for us Sunday and Monday.

Don’t know what more Scooter wants to see. Acapulco  will never rebuild. The city is decimated and uninhabitable. Hundreds of miles inland . This had gusts to 215mph at ground level.

So much damage.  From the helicopter video I grabbed this shot of a highrise.  Windows blown out with so much structural damage you can see right through some units.  Wonder how their  highrise building codes along resorts compare to Florida?  Andrew was a near miss for dense buildings but would Florida's highrises look like this if a true Cat 5 came ashore in Miami-Dade?

It’s very sad. I just understand why he’s questioning cat 5 . Those were all built to withstand that type of storm

The cartels will rebuild.  Big profits in a "legitimate" business".  The American mob did this in Vegas.

Well we need to get to Monday and still have this on the GGEM and Euro/ EPS. Until then let’s hope it’s real and pray for mass outages

Good to see you are in midwinter form... Certainly an early tease, but history indicates noteworthy early season threats are usually very dynamic setups...  at least we are tracking something other than rain and dews...

H5 has really improved on the 0z ICON and CMC. Multi-run trend towards a strong, more consolidated mid-level low instead of a dampening open wave. PVA and cold pool continue to tick further south. Temps below 925mb level will always be a challenge this time of year. But H5 is finally starting to look like a legit interior snowstorm.

Because it all depends on codes and what not. I never said I didn’t believe it. But while you’re dropping your pants over hi rise damage, I’m trying to see what happened at the surface. Houses cars etc. we saw that with Michael and Dorian. I haven’t seen it yet.

Looks like the odds increased a bit overnight for some interior snow.

Nice to see the trailing shortwave sharpen up a little. If it can trend that way a little more, then we’re looking at a more dynamic system which would increase the chances of better snows.

Yeah it’s gonna grind some, but if that can sharpen even a bit more that would be sweet over the interior.
