Yep just more isolated than Ida which had widespread 6"+ amounts but for the city its comparable

For sure, this event is more localized.

Just driving around a little earlier, my area of Beechhurst  rarely has extreme flooding. Today is the only time I remember outside of Ida and Irene that this happened and I've been here for almost 20 years. Actually, there was one other event that I can't recall right now but it's rare around here.

It ranks 6th highest, as earlier records are available for Central Park.

Should this storm be named for our purposes??? Ophelia Reflux?

We need to go back to Tuesday and look at the north edge suppression of PW 1.7” and see if it was shoved south to 35N70W and popped back up this morning to s if LI.  That’s number one item.

And you forecast it the best out of anyone, kudos again.

Been trying to look at that as well.  Let me know if you figure it out first.

NYC break probably gonna be short lived, band from NJ building back up into the city. 14z HRRR shows this nicely.

HRRR’s been all over the place here. Now we’re back to getting soaked in Suffolk. It’s bad for the city/Nassau but please keep the training out that way, thanks.
