And yes, the inverted trough setup will keep filling in the rain. Very moist Atlantic air is rising as it comes in from the east into the trough.

The rain is pivoting. All of the dynamics are still focused over the area.

At what point does a FFE get issued? At least from HRRR and radar, probably another 2-4" to go at the least with many many reports of flash flooding on social media.

Newest 3k NAM lines up really well with radar.  Looks like the worst will be around NYC/Westchester County/SWCT
