Yea, I figured it must be involved.  As you mentioned, there is not much.  Was just in in the sun and it is a summer day temp wise.    LNS in the 80's now.   77 here.

Soon they'll be experiencing the opposite, where colder air is moderated by flowing over the relatively warmer river waters.

Just model disco, Sat has a chance to be a real barn burner.   As we are seeing today, Temps at MDT is tough to figure out sometimes but the latest it has ever reached 85 is Oct 23rd, 1947.    Fair chance some NWS stations can get there Sat.

That will have Blizz singing Christmas Carols and handing out Hot Chocolate to all the government employees there.    It does make perfect sense to have the areas temp authority sitting on the edge of water.   (Snark)
