I remember a few times getting like 5-6" in 3 hours before the dreaded pingers and 10 hours of freezing drizzle

Ugh... I remember that all too well. It'd be puking snow, everything so white and peaceful, and cool looking, and then...the mess would begin.

A wet and unseasonably chilly day on tap across Chester County today. Temperatures for most locations will remain in the 40's through the day. We may get close to the record rain for today which was set back in 2003 when 1.21" fell. Sunshine returns by tomorrow PM but below normal temps look likely through much of the next week.
Records for today: High 85 (1975) / Low 27 (1988) / Rain 1.21" (2003)

One decent burst here has us at .27 with 90% of the morning being drizzle or nothing.
At .60" in Camp hill. Mostly all In 3 hours. Probably get another 2-3 hours to put us at .90" then another 8 hours of drizzle. These things go like clockwork. Except you. You seemed to ended up in the narrow FU corridor that you are used to.
