Breaking: JI canceling 23-24 and 24-25 winters.

Not completely true - he has already cancelled the winter of 24-25, but he's about to cancel this winter. Just not yet. :) LOL

Ji is the smartest comedian here - I make sure that I'm not eating or drinking when he's active posting. Guy is legit funny. Like I said, he knows when to play his game though because he really does have a great knowledge/understanding.

Add Chuck in the MA thread to the "about to cancel winter 24-25 group.

Can't we get through/enjoy this winter first?

We're going to reach new depths of weenieism this year - we're going to have 2' of snow on the ground with heavy snow falling in February but people will be cliff-jumping about something still 10 months away.

HAHA! Saw that and agree let's take it one winter at a time!

DuBois also reached a record of high of 64F on the 15th as well. Looks like today will come up short. Current temperature is 61F with rain knocking on the doorstep. Record is 67F.

Here was Wednesday's climate report for DuBois - Jefferson County Airport. Far cry from last year when the high was just 33.

Yeah, I'm a tad leary my self.  It was more of a response to the Ji cancelling winter for the 8,998,412th time in his life
Oh no. I mean the bullshit is the purple IMBY. Upshot of being on the plateau is more squalls and death bands.

Downshot is the warm air coming up and poking us right in the tuchus.

This trended better for you fwiw.  See post above.  Less ridging would help you westers.

Mind you this is just telling w/ that models show.  I'm gonna check ens guidance and see if any support for op is there but dont have time right now. Trying to wrap up the day, but i'm casually interested for the north country post Turk day.

I have no issue with you posting this information. It is after all, the weather. And these days, we set a lot more record highs than we do lows.

We all understand by now that this is pretty much all that you post. I guess if that's your agenda, it makes perfect sense that that's what we're going to get from you. You're certainly entitled to share a side/opinion that some here might not really like reading. I myself I'm totally fine with it. As the saying goes "it is what it is."

But...here's my issue. Several days ago, I "put myself out there" and shared my 2023-24 seasonal snowfall guesses for several spots in central PA. Of course, my wintry-looking numbers were a little too much for you to let pass, so you jumped on my call. Cool. I do think; however, that it's fair for me to ask you to provide your own thoughts/guesses if you're going to criticize mine. I mean, if I questioned someone in here, I'd do so knowing that I'd need to share my own thoughts. Just seems like the right thing to do. And, I did ask you to do just that. Of course, you did not play fair. And I'm not surprised. However, I'm sure I'll hear from you again at the end of the season to tell me just how poorly I did.

He is just a stats guy that is all climate changer can do. He likes to criticize without any forecast of his/her climate change that we have been hearing for years now.

I'm debating buying my first ever electric snowblower but actually might instead just get the Ego snow shovel. Easier to move around and since I'v not had to shovel since 2019, ya know why waste money.
Let me make this very clear to everybody.

Any snowblower purchases before the first widespread event will result in said purchases being shoved right up the backsides of the buyer.

I hope you're not asking Santa for "buyers remorse" for Christmas. Next to lumps of coal, it's the second most-readily available gift in this current climate.

add TimB to the mix.

I liked what Trainer stated above, its all good to debate.  I love it, but offer some reasoning up (as best you can) instead of just sayin "aint happenin" or letting constant bias show in posts.  Really detracts from ones credibility (and partly why Ji used to get under my/others skin).  He's better than that.

I now expect to be trolled with "aint happenings" with reckless abandon.

Oh, I didn’t mean to imply your forecast was incorrect. I was admiring your willingness to go out on a limb. I just thought 58” sounded like a lot for IPT, and was curious how long it had been since that number was reached or exceeded in a winter.

I am happy Franklin made a change with OC. With Michigan coaches and boosters falling all over themselves today in who can embarrass their own university more, I think we need to take the time to honor, that to date (and God please don't make me eat these words) Franklin has run an exceptional program at a high standard and clean. He seems open to change and willing to try new stuff. Shit doesn't always work. At least we haven't had to pay a coach $80 million to go away or have a soap opera/drama/porn/criminal undertaking like Michigan. Georgia was extremely lucky with rolling the dice with Kirby Smart. Blue bloods or near bluebloods like Nebraska and Tennessee tried that and ended in diaster. I'm sickened by this all or nothing mentality far more than frustrated with Franklin. It satuatues our society and like a virus erodes all that is worthy and good in things.

Yup, super great torque, quiet and no need to f with gas/oil mixes. Ego electric lawn mowers are amammmaaaazzing, as are the weed whackers and trimmers and leaf blowers.

Don’t forget the greatest Ego tool of all — the extendable pole saw. A must-have for any property with lots of trees. Up here in the camper outside of State College and the air is certainly changing. Should be a nice crisp blustery mid-November day. Almost time for some orange crushes.
