adelphi_sky
Merciful mother nature. Lots of good rain for the area. Yesterday I saw a sprinkler watering brown grass at an office park. So sad.

Snowden
Past three days of storms for eastern loudoun is for the history books. On top of two days of torrential rain and hail, now we get long duration train of back to back storms. Been thundering for almost 2 hours straight here.
Eskimo Joe
Looks like that activity south of DC was enhanced by the outflow boundary from the initial activity over DC. I wouldn't be surprised to see it collapse over the next hour.

jewell2188
Same areas keep getting rained on. Been that way all summer. Rivers and streams continue to dry up in the immediate area. While many of you have cashed in the last couple days, many remain dry. Not sure what it’s going to take for most around here to realize the drought locally isn’t a joke. 2 major rivers near my location are dry…..haven't seen that in a plus years.
Mrs.J
We are getting rained on! A nice steady rain pushing through. It feels so nice out and smells good. It has been way too long since having a good steady rain.
CAPE
Best shot for tonight is a miss. Centreville up to Chestertown nailed, just east of Greensboro got the weaker part but not bad. Here, betwixt and between. Another ground dampening lol. Maybe tomorrow.

And we finally got measurable rain the past 3 days. Not sure what rain god I impressed but seeing even dry areas are finally getting some. Sorry that your area is still in the rain hole. Hope you get some rain soon like my area finally has. I think I know what 2 rivers you are talking about.

I was having to use it everyday, so there wasn't much point. Lol. Plus, that's the builder's hoses they left; mine is stored away in the garage. Once watering season is over, that one is going in the dumpster. And watering season may have just ended today!
