Today looks to be our last near normal temperature day before a stretch of well below normal temps and plenty of rain looking likely this weekend. I would not be surprised if some higher spots in the county struggle to get out of the 40's on Saturday. Who will turn their heat on?

Have had a gradual warm up for daytime temps this week, topping off at 61 Mon., 62 Tues., 68 yesterday, and 69 today.  Lows during that period from Tues. were 46, 45 Wed., and 47 this morning, so still reflecting some radiational cooling.

It had been clouding up as the day progressed and was mostly cloudy ahead of the sunset, and 60 with dp 50.

We received our first snow of the season this evening out here in SE Wyoming. About 2" or so in the grass, very pretty and already more than I saw the entirety of last winter in SE PA. Rooting for a blockbuster winter for y'all back east, I'll be back in PA for 3 weeks in Dec-Jan and hoping for some snow during that time!

A beautiful Friday on tap with temps rising into the low 60's. Tomorrow looks wet especially from the afternoon through Sunday morning. Unseasonably chilly tomorrow with some higher spots remaining in the 40's. Slow moderation next week with more shower chances late Monday night.

A wet and unseasonably chilly day on tap across Chester County today. Temperatures for most locations will remain in the 40's through the day. We may get close to the record rain for today which was set back in 2003 when 1.21" fell. Sunshine returns by tomorrow PM but below normal temps look likely through much of the next week.

We picked up 1.20" of rain here in East Nantmeal with .04" falling since midnight.
Winds will pick up today and it will be chilly with highs only in the mid to upper 50's. We should stay in the below normal 50's for highs until Wednesday when temps will get closer to normal with temps rising to slightly above normal by Thursday before more rain moves in by next weekend.

Ended up with highs of 64 on Friday and of 52 on Saturday, after lows of 50 and 46 respectively.

Picked up 0.78" yesterday and 0.14" today (total for the 2-day event was 0.92") and had a low of 47 this morning.

It's currently breezy and mostly sunny, with only a few scattered clouds, and 57. The dewpoint is sitting at a nice low of 48.

Happy Red October to those who celebrate - Go Phillies! Most of this week will feature nice autumnal weather. We should see temps for most spots in the county remaining in the upper 50's both today and tomorrow. Thursday looks like the best day of the week, with above normal temps in the mid to upper 60's. Rain returns on Friday with cooler temps for the weekend.
Records for today: High 94 (1897) - latest 90 degree day on record / Low 27 (1939) / Rain 1.66 (2019)

Today should be another day of below normal afternoon temps with highs struggling to reach 60 degrees. Normal highs are in the lower 60's. We should rebound to slightly above normal temps both Wednesday and Thursday before our rain chances ramp up by Friday evening into Saturday. Below normal temperatures return with drier weather by the end of the weekend.

Highs have gradually warmed the past couple days and were 60 (Sun.), 62 (Mon.), and 63 for today.  My low yesterday was a chilly 44 but a milder 50 this morning.

It's currently mostly cloudy after a sunny start, and 59, with dp 48.  Have been watching the scattered showers on radar and haven't cashed in on any although yesterday I had some non-measurable that spritzed on the car.

So I just found out that our FOX10 meteorogist, Krystal Ortiz, came to Phoenix from NBC10 in Philadelphia. Who remembers her? And I'm curious. I think she's pretty good, but how did she do when she was at NBC10?

I remember her but she didn't seem to get a lot of on air time from what I remember. Seemed decent enough and easy on the eyes. Her hometown is Phoenix Az so it makes sense.

Now, comes campfire time. With the rain gone after Friday, the grass growing like gangbusters, it's back to enjoying fall weather and garden activities in upcoming next few weeks.  LR models indicate a prolong mild dry period with highs in the low to mid 80's too. With the warmer weather, the leaves should stay on the trees longer too.  Looks like the majority leaf raking will not happen until after Halloween this year unless we get a cold/windy  shot near the end of the month.

MY leaf color forecast is right on schedule based on Tuesdays forecast with Frost. Late next week will be peak color after the frost.  Most of the leaves will fall of by election day with windy days. the piles will be high as they will all fall off at the same time.

The next 2 days look like perfect autumn days. Today will be just about normal high temps in the low 60's with tomorrow in the above normal upper 60's. Rain chances increase on Friday with the steadiest rain moving in by late evening. Much colder weather moves in by Sunday with temps on Monday likely to struggle to escape the 40's for the higher spots of the county.

One last nice day before rain arrives toward Friday AM. We may see the sun again by later Saturday. Sharply chillier by Sunday with some frost even possible by Tuesday morning. A nice warm up by the end of next week before a turn to colder to finish out October with a chance of our first freeze around the 30th.
