ChescoWx
Today should be our last above normal day for the rest of the week. Sunny today but with the cold front approaching storms will develop late tonight and toward tomorrow morning. A great stretch of autumnal weather should then last through the upcoming weekend. Records for today: High 97 (1931) / Low 38 (1917) / Rain 2.37" (1960)
zenmsav6810
This guy might have been right in my backyard on saturday... He had to get from spring city to French creek somehow. In my opinion their best chance to get him was when he was in longwood surrounded. Roads closed was pain getting to work this morning. Lovely weather to be a fugative. And he is from Brazil, so I can imagine some huge ones there. I ended up with a low of 64 this morning and one thing that did help was the advection behind the front that took the dps down some. Birds~69
84F/ 62F Should be a somewhat entertaining night/overnight w/rain/T-storms....nice relaxing weather w/rain failing and windows open. Thought I saw Psycho Killer while in the State Store. Fit the profile (Ht/Wt etc) to a tee. But once a $86.xx rang up and he whipped out a CC I knew my $25,000 payday was screwed...he was friendly chatting w/the cashier as well. CoolHandMike
The ~3.5" of rain we got over the last few days has set my basement sump pump into overdrive. I think the 11" rain event a couple of months ago altered the groundwater flow patterns, since before that, the sump well was always dry after previous significant rainfalls. Has me somewhat worried, if I'm honest. I really need to source a battery backup for that pump.

Hurricane Agnes
Had a loud thunder just before 3 am here and figured it was pouring cats and dogs but found I only got 0.18". ChescoWx
Quite the thunder and lightning show last night around 1am here in East Nantmeal. Picked up 0.39" of rain. Should see cooler and much less humid conditions starting today and continuing for much of the next week. Some valley spots across the County could see temps dipping into the 40's by Friday morning. High temps may not escape get much above 70 degrees in higher spots on Thursday and Friday. ChescoWx
Many spots reached the 50's this morning. Normal highs and lows for mid-September range from highs in the mid-70's to lows in the mid-50's. We should see temps over much of the next week average a little below those levels and with no rain in sight. A beautiful stretch of weather in our future! Hurricane Agnes
Made it up to 77 for a high yesterday and with dps in the 50s, that made it ideal. Bottomed out at a cool 53 this morning, that would almost suggest good radiational cooling but the winds were going all night so probably CAA. Currently mostly sunny and 61 with dp a remarkable 50. Last low in the '50s IMBY was a 58 during the summer solstice, in that case on 6/22/23.
ChescoWx
Another beautiful autumnal day underway here across the County! Our low this morning of 50.5 here in East Nantmeal was our chilliest reading since the 47.2 degree reading back on June 8th. Some of the higher spots of Chesco may fail to escape the 60's for high temps this afternoon. Some valley locations could see some lows in the 40's both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Rain chances increase by tomorrow PM into Monday AM with up to 0.50" for some spots. Then dry and close to normal weather for mid to late September for the rest of the week.
