With this past week of cooler temps and drier air, it changed fast.

Torch Tiger
settling in. Hopefully one of those 74-77F dew fronts beyond 8/10 piles on some rains (deep meridonal flow), because otherwise we're going to be hearing from Sgt. Stein soon.

What’s the prognosis on that reopening? I think there’s probably lots of microcosms in Vermont, that are still reeling from water damage but most people outside of those areas have forgotten about it. HIPPYVALLEY
Remarkable that we got almost no rain in Greenfield. A trace at best. I would’ve planned my Friday differently knowing that.

The first image is of the Pavilion building. The governor, state treasurer and attorney general have their offices in it. The second image is how high the water got on State St. looks like it was 5’-6’ above street level. The last picture is the inside of the Aubuchon Hardware store. Completely gutted.
mreaves
The smells were pretty bad in places. Mold and mildew, wet carpet etc. it seems like businesses got the worst of it in Montpelier while people’s homes got it worse in Barre. The worst hit was the poorer part of town. 1

tamarack
From late April thru July 2, nearly every event exceeded the forecasts. Since then, it's gone just the opposite, like yesterday's 0.16" after a 1/2-1" forecast. We're currently averaging about 0.3"/week. Water table remains high (Sandy River flow at 75th percentile) but the top 12" is drying out.
