There was a lot of washed out road edges on Rt.125 down past the Middlebury Snow Bowl through Ripton. There was also a house that got burrows by a landslide. This certainly won’t help. Tyler Jankoski shared some good clips. Here's a screen shot; road turned into a waterfall, washing out the entire bank into the drainage. That's legit, you do not want to be in that or attempt to move through it. What a summer for flash floods across the northeast.

CoastalWx
Pretty good downpour this morning on my way to the gym. Looks like it could be an active day in SNE given that those storms are making it farther south and may act as a boundary.

Modfan2
Could be wrong but most activity today appears to be Western/Central Ma in to NE Mass; not much into CT (at least Eastern CT) until later this evening and not sure how well that holds up. Local weather showed it pretty stormy here around 9pm, Hrrr doesn’t seem to show that.

Typhoon Tip
It'll take some work ... Too much morning cloud contamination. Sometimes that can release at some critical morning processing of the sounding by the sun, but don't know just yet if this is the type of air mass susceptible to that way of doing so or not. We'll see. I don't think this scenario has enough synoptic forcing to do it without CAPE production so sun soaking is needed.

Cyclone-68
Question for the group. Have we had any days this summer when an EML was present but we didn’t have a front or air mass at the time to take advantage of it?
