caviman2201
HRRR has been consistent for at least 9 straight runs now that a strong storm cluster goes through the Baltimore area around 00z... something to watch for. Terpeast
Cloud cover overhead from incoming storms (whether I get rain or not is a big IF). Think I'm done climbing temps for today. Max 99.5, highest observed heat index was 112 (I got the 115 figure from a second obs nearby, but I'll throw that out as an outlier).
BlizzardNole
LOL east moving thunderstorms almost in the same place as yesterday moving my way. I fully expect them to fade right as they arrive like yesterday and for the front to go thru dry tomorrow. What will come though is beautiful temps from Sunday thru most of next week. It's gonna be nice! Get those grills ready
Wxtrix
a high of 97, snd currently 93/75/104 with clouds and thunder.
MN Transplant
95.4 as the high here. Looks like the airport highs may be 96 DCA, 97 BWI, 98 IAD, which would be identical to yesterday.

At least today looks a lot better than yesterday.

Thunderstorms moving west to east typically split or fade right as they drop down over my area, then recover and reform just to my east. Happens over and over and so it takes a fluke to get a TS here. I've had one so far this summer. We do fine during the 5-6 months of 30 to 50s and rain from November to April

87storms
Not the wildest storm I’ve seen here, but gusty with at least a moderate downpour. Kinda like an appetizer storm.
BlizzardNole
OK so that one one in SW Mont Co is moving NE -- that gives me a better chance as down-sloping doesn't kill those as much as the W-E movers. No hail though please! Just give me the business with rain

WEATHER53
Maximum in the direct sun heat index the second highest since 2016 peaking at 120. That day in either 2011 or 12 that we hit 105 I set my record of 132.

BlizzardNole
Looks like the worst of that severe cell went to my north thru Clarksburg. Fine by me I don't want hail -- I like heavy rain and lightning. Just light stuff so far
MN Transplant
Glad the Germantown crew looks like they are in good shape. Heard from my brother west of Frederick that there is some wind damage there. 09-10 analogy
Seems to be a semblance of a shelf cloud with this cell; haven't seen too many of those recently. Don't have a real good vantage, though, and am too lazy to go up to Fort Reno. Warned in S MOCO; ought to be getting a warning for NW DC at least soon.
