MCS > Hrrr
The real funny part is the HRRR at all the other short term mesos lunch for the last 6 hours. The NAM3k and FVS3 had the line as a few broken scattered showers before it even made it out of mountains. Seems like our entire convection model suite has had the accuracy of drunk monkeys playing darts this summer.

Well we finally got a decent rain. 0.61” from that line. Oldest kid who shares my love of storms was having trouble sleeping. Told me it was coming and I checked radar and was excited for the storm but must of fell back to sleep and missed it. She got to see it as she laid down on the couch to fall asleep.

A stunning 1.5 which is the most rain in one storm I can remember in a long time, and is more than all of June combined.  Up to 3.4 for July so far.

Side note - what did they do with the iweather rainfall map?  It used to be so accurate against CoCoRaHS and even my gauge.  Now, not only can you not zoom in, it is way off the mark.

Good for you! I wish more observers would do this.  Coincidentally,  my numbers this morning are almost identical to yours but opposite. ..0.81 in the Davis, 0.61 in the true gauge. (Has to do with my heavy tree cover here)

Happy to see so many of the dry spots getting their share this time.

.79” with some thunder and lightning overnight.

not even close to putting a dent in the drought out here.

Yeah it's gonna take some work to chip away at those deficits.  This is county averages, so specific spots might be way worse.  I know my spot is way worse off than say Rockville, etc

I know it’s out of region but can anyone take a look at radar in southern Delaware? On vacation around Fenwick and our phones all lit up with tornado warning alarms. I feel out of my element without computer.

shoulda been the same line of storms that rolled through you guys earlier.
