When I was a kid in the 90s the temp would struggle to hit 60 on the beaches by late August. Now, the temp will touch 70 or higher every August. I'd guess we're currently at 62-64, even with the upwelling yesterday. Ahh interesting. That’s my time of reference too, as a kid in the 90s. I feel like we’d go in the summer and it’d be like 59F at Misquamicut or if it was 64F my dad would be pumped. @Ginx snewx can probably clarify if that’s just my mind playing tricks on me from 25 years ago. Misquamicut was mid 60’s to near 70; Hampton NH north was 55-65 1

Damage In Tolland
Looks like Tolland is about to get wrecked. Bedtime here .. but that has the look of a few inches of rain incoming.
radiator
The radar looks interesting but at least in this area of Litchfield County the lightning seems pretty anemic - maybe the Danbury area is getting a better light show. I suppose it could change as the evening goes on…

Couldn’t get the lava fountains well in pictures, but really amazing to see and hear. Very very cool! In other news @CoastalWx rear exploded from a lunch Stromboli, @Damage In Tolland has close up pics.

Front appears to be just north of me now. Nice light show

My folks said they got hit solidly last night in Woodstock but nothing during the day. Wonder if it makes it that far NE tonight. CT on the whole looks to be getting a great drink this evening into tonight.

I got hit last night too, it was raining most of the night, I was up most of the night with a sick dog who kept wanting to go out, once morning came the sun came out.

My folks a mile south of the CT/MA border in Southbridge just getting raked. If you are on Lebanon Hill Rd you are right there too. These dews lead to heavy rainfall rates.
