I don't think there is a specific distance, I think it varies from airport to airport. I'm sure though an airport as big as BOS has the automatic alert system where if lightning is detected within a certain proximity the lights and sirens go off and everyone outside must take shelter.

I think you'll be good by then.. Seems like everything is going ok on the whole though. Except for my flights lol.

Yeah, we are supposed to be coming back from the Cape and will just sit tight till 6 or 7 PM.  I have no interest in driving in that stuff.  It’s been bone dry in Falmouth since Friday.
