Cheers, Global Climate Innovator Challenge Team WHO WE ARE GCIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing solutions that address climate change mitigation and adaptation. Our key approaches include amplifying and empowering innovative actions and solutions, harnessing and nurturing creativity and leadership of the next generation, and leveraging the power of education to build capacity and spread climate consciousness. Since our inception, we have actively promoted global cooperation and sustainable development through various initiatives. These include the launch of the Global Climate Innovator Challenge, outreach effort for Earth Day, donation for Pakistan flood relief, high-level roundtable forum at the UN headquarters, series live climate roundtable, and engaging stakeholders from around the world in discussions on climate. We are honored to have had eight Ambassadors to the UN attend our luncheon event and spread awareness within their networks. Our live public events have attracted overall more than half a million attendees. ABOUT THE CHALLENGE The Challenge is a unique opportunity for changemakers across the globe to showcase their cutting-edge ideas and projects. Participants gain exposure to a global audience and stand a chance to attract potential investments and support from stakeholders in diverse sectors. This year, we are looking for innovative solutions or ideas (including but not limited to technology, product, business model, or approach) that can accelerate progress towards 1.5°C climate goal. We ask participants to choose one of the following five topics: 1) Affordable and clean energy (aligned with SDG 7) 2) Resilient social and economic infrastructure, sustainable industrialization (aligned with SDG 9) 3) Disaster risk reduction, sustainable transport, sustainable cities, and human settlements (aligned with SDG 11) 4) Sustainable consumption and production patterns, resource efficiency, pollution and wastes reduction, circular economy (aligned with SDG 12) 5) Other actions to combat climate change and climate impacts (aligned with SDG 13) Join the Challenge and experience a multitude of benefits. By participating, you gain access to exclusive high-profile events, opening doors to influential networks and connecting with the climate Innovator community. As a finalist, you will receive acknowledgment from global climate leaders, prominent environmental organizations, and a respected group of climate specialists and investors.
