nwohweather
The early morning rain looks to be exiting a couple hours ahead of schedule across northern Indiana and southern MIShould put down a nice boundary for this afternoon as well. Should be a decent tornado shot as well where initiation begins
HillsdaleMIWeather
Enhanced and slight risk areas expanded a bunch at the 9 am update, text now mentions strong tornadoes making it into southern Lower MI.
Torchageddon
Is it true MI hasn't seen an EF4+ tornado since 1974/1975? HRRR isn't giving me anything concrete atm.

I especially don’t think the Detroit metro would be ready for a ef3 plowing through edit: I feel the quiet excitement from everyone today hopefully see the forum blow up later
IWXwx
I'm pretty excited. Initiation looks to occur just to my west/overhead. Since I retired from Emergency Management, I won't be tied down to our county, so I will be able to chase. However, it should practically be a back yard chase. frostfern
Parameters are more significant than I thought all the way into MI. Narrow streak of near 70 dewpoints and backed wind approaching southern Lake Michigan.

sbnwx85
It’s got that “feel” to it. Sun out, strong southerly winds (30 mph gusts), warm but not too hot. Initiation will be real close here.

The SPC really does baffle me sometimes.

The last tornado to be rated F4/EF4+ in Michigan was actually a little later, in April 1977. Two F4 tornadoes struck Kalamazoo and Eaton counties respectively. Still been an insanely long streak. I have to work up in Grayling today, otherwise I would fs be chasing today. 1
