moneypitmike
When we're not in the lawn thread we might need to talk boats and fish. I'm looking for a used CC. I really like the Key West 219FS but haven't found one in my age/price range. I'm seeing a KW 203 and a Sea Hunt 225--both 2016's. Any thoughts on either? TIA.
tamarack
Finally floated my little one-seat Old Town on North Pond Monday, brought home 2 pike, total weight 6-7 lb, 4 fish stew dinners.

Chrisrotary12
Thinking having a 1 yr old is going to prevent me from fishing this year. Haven’t even bought a license or considered going.

BrianW
My mother in law got this Canoe for $200 yesterday at an estate sale in NJ. I don't think it's ever been in the water.

tamarack
Probably my last open-water fishing for this year today, brought home a 27" pike that had a partially digested 8-9" white perch in the tummy. Also found that the reel I bought in 1999 or 2000 and fished hard is worn out, gears occasionally skip and drag tightens all by itself without moving the external adjuster. That latter item cost me a lure and another sizable pike before I realized what was going on. C'est la vie.

My father bought a Johnson Century back around 1950, I'm still using it and it's still smooth.

I used a Johnson Century from 1960 thru the time I bought the reel noted above, about 40 years. It was an award for reducing the huge snapping turtle population in the nearby lake, snagging them with a device made with wire and a big treble hook.
