- At 616 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, Pittston, Sayre, Athens,
Towanda, Canton, Tunkhannock, Montrose, Troy, Wyalusing,
Waverly, Falls, Muhlenberg, Dunmore, Old Forge, Dickson City,
Moosic and Olyphant.

You guys might just have to take bad flooding for the team so the rest of us can catch up.

Perhaps. I've been watching the qauge, and it's up another inch. I've no doubt Tamaqua meets or exceeds 5".

I'll post a final once the rain moves out. There HAS to be some crazy runoff/street flooding with the rate it's been dumping.

Final tally here of 1.36”. My new automated station measured 1.26”, for an under-reporting rate of about 7%. Anyone else notice the automated weather stations slightly under measuring when compared to the manual cylinder gauges?  Or am I the only loser cross-checking two gauges haha.

Would you believe I finished with 0.34"?

Very, very disappointed.

If I am reading the 5 min readings right... as the drought eases for some (farther east), it stays top of mind for others   USGS considering D2 for some from my source.  That will result in corn crops being culled if it happens and stays present for more than 2-3 weeks.

All of the local jets must have landed at CXY today?
