Bubbler86
Not much support for Friday rain on the Mesos's or Globals at 12Z. Better chances later Sat into Sunday. The PA split shows up on both the GFS and CMC:

canderson
I think it’s more smokey right now than ever. Can’t see across the river. It’s bad. If it’s not it’s at least now down on or level and not upper air.

The HRRR shows a moderate level today (we are in a Code Orange as well) buy the piece of energy rolling through later this morning/afternoon helps usher some out....but still some smoke Sat, just not at the level shown below. 1
Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 62 here. All signals are that the smoke should thin out for the holiday weekend, but as we've seen before the forecasts seem to really struggle with this stuff.

Itstrainingtime
We might very well not see rain here until sometime later tomorrow evening - that's a pretty big change over the past 48 hours.

ChescoWx
Through yesterday this is now the coldest June in Chester County since way back in 1974. More impressive is not counting today (which should be a rare above average day) this is the 7th coldest June in 130 years of local weather records! We should finish out the month with some hazy sun (thanks Canada) and temps in the low 80's today. A little cooler tomorrow to start out July and then rain chances increase by Saturday night. Records for today: High 98 (1959) / Low 47 (1919) / Rain 2.29" (1921)

Early 12Z's are pretty dry even for Sat. 3K has some activity this afternoon but less on Sat. Sat night and Sunday Early AM has some action. Our outside unit is 30+ years old so the whole system (not the ducts, but the blower/air handler upstairs) would need replaced.

I should have used the word HVAC system although in my case it is just air conditioning as our heat is a mix of oil and electric and does not go through the ducts. My roof area (not related to the house size) is 2300 sq feet and decent shingle job will be $13,000. I have no damage to try and get insurance to cover it.
