More showers some possibly heavy again possible today into tonight. We have picked up 3.07" of rain in East Nantmeal over the past 3 days. Some spots in Eastern Chester County look to have received 3" to 5" of rain just yesterday. Sun returns at times tomorrow and cooler before more rain looks to arrive over the weekend.
Records for today: 98 (1963) / Low 48 (1970)/ Rain 2.55" (1943)

This is kind of a really big deal - there has forever been a gap in radar coverage in Lanco, as we fall in the middle of State College, Mount Holly, and Sterling's coverage areas. The gap is about to be filled!

Today, we’re installing a X-band weather surveillance radar on campus! The new radar will cover the area between the 3 closest radars in State College, Mt. Holly, N.J. & Sterling, Va. Stay tuned for more photos!

Fantastic. I don't know much about radar strength, but is it close to being equal to a NWS one?

And will it be available on RadarScope? :)

Exactly, and that very issue was Eric Horst's biggest public gripe for years. This is a huge win for this area.

@Jns2183 - not sure when it will be operational

@candersonI don't have the strength specifics. I shared pretty much what they posted. :)
