If I'm reading that right, there was nearly a 5" difference in 6/10ths of a mile outside of Lansdowne?

Talk about localized totals!

I noticed a few 7 day totals under 1" (or close to under) in Adams, York and Cumberland.  Storms definitely came alive farther East.   No Franklin totals on the map I saw.

I also agree about the rain - I'm stoked. I think most will get at a minimum 2" by Sunday, and some of us at least double that. With a trigger looming plus very high PWATs, there will be some tropical deluges to be sure .

Owning up to my lousy predictions - I shared this a week ago this morning. Shoot, some didn't get an 1" in 7 days let alone 2" in 5 days.

While there were some big winners, the overall coverage of winners and losers was poorly forecasted.

1.01” yesterday for the rain total. With them cells some places really got dumped on. Hit and miss...right Bubb

Grass is growing almost time to trim the clover.

Yep, winners and losers.  Clovers?  Canderson will like to hear that.  The smoke here has totally blocked out the sun now (or mix of smoke and clouds, hard to tell on Satellite.)   Only 65 degrees.

Negative my friend, only a 1.62" difference.  The fifth column is the one that matters, which incorporates the multi-day precip reports from the sparsely populated 4th column.  I know, it can be tricky without being able to view the actual site.

Thank you! I'm glad you clarified.

According to WGAL there's a code Red air quality alert in place but I didnt see it earlier when I was on the NWS page

LOL, I will take my .75" and be happy as the grass perked up a bit.  Thanks though.   If it does not rain this weekend, then D3 is in the horizon.
EURO and GFS have a 60-70% chance of at least 1" of rain next 10 days for you

We shall see.  LOL.  If it is convection based, I would certainly not bet any money on it...I did see some MCS possibilities.  But remember, 1" over 10 days is below normal.    In July, one needs 1.52" every 10 days to maintain the norm.

Regardless of the localized winners and losers, this was an extremely beneficial period for the Mid-Atlantic.....

The blue in Franklin makes me blue.  Will be interesting to see what USGS does tomorrow.  Yesterday's rain will not count in their decision this week.   Northern VA took the loss as well.  Big swath there.

Yeah, we’ve had very little all week. Striking out so far. Hoping something comes our way soon.

This fucking smoke is pissing me off. Can't we just send a bunch of monkeys with fire extinguishers up to Nova Scotia and get this shit sorted out already?

I’m staying up in coastal New Brunswick this week at a place called beaver harbour. it’s been raining/foggy and 60-65 degrees for four straight days.. not great for driving or sightseeing but ironically some of the best air quality I’ve had this summer. Considered canceling a few weeks back when there were active fires even out this way. Would hope Quebec/Ontario are getting in on some of this to help out the situation. The sick deranged weenie in me is loving this consistent drear and steady rain after the past few months back home. The mrs. is probably getting ready to punt me into the sea after the tenth time I’ve come inside soaking saying something like “this is great chowder and coffee weather”

last time i was there it was soooooooooooooooo hot that the beer at Pickles didn't even taste good.
Yeahhhh.. I was last at Camden Yards back in August of 2019 for a series with the Blue Jays. It was a make up ticket from a rain delay on Mother's day. It was 100 at first pitch. I wanted to die.
