GRR with a little bit of sarcasm/humor in their afternoon AFD.

Smoke continues to linger across parts of West Michigan, though some
improvement has been noted over central Lower Michigan the past few
hours. As ridge of high pressure moves east of the area tonight,
winds will becomes SE, and this should prevent the somewhat more
pristine air to the north from advancing significantly farther south
through lower Michigan, and as a result forecast will continue to
include areas of smoke through Thursday.

Soaking rains here yesterday netted 1.26" at the TH arpt, and 1.18" here in town. Much needed, and lawn went all green really quick. Grass growing like corn, you can almost watch it popping up this morning. 2.90" for the month brings us closer to the 4.23" avg. Chance for scattered shwrs/stms this aftrn. All this new moisture in the ground will keep dews up now, but temps 75-80 will be comfortable with dews of 60-65 today. Might even break 85 here in town this weekend on a W/SW wind. And that's getting too warm for my taste with higher dews.

More by you yesterday then all month in Minneapolis. The airport is at 0.93” for June and it looks like we won’t see anymore which would edge out 1912 for 2nd driest on record behind 1988.

We’ve also achieved 90 today with the smoke clearing out allowing for full sunshine and blue skies.

Getting teased like crazy with distant rumbling galore.

Not sure what they're going to do.  Some models don't even show these storms while other models don't have consistency.  Hopefully they make it here but not going to hold my breath.

Its annoying not being able to make anything out due to the smoke.  I’m hearing thunder but its so hazy.

It's annoying as you should be able see some great lightning. This morning with 1 mile smoke visibility I only saw a few flashes.

I got the summertime equivalent of a DAB, the big T.

I got summertime equivalent of “mood flakes”.  Mood thunder.  Really humid feel with some dark clouds off in certain directions and rumblings far off in the distance.

Major trolling.

Yeah. I thought that was only ever gonna be an issue when trying to chase the Plains with Mexican fire smoke blowing in. 5/20/2019, the updraft base of the supercell that was about to produce the Mangum, OK EF2 crossed US 62 1-2 miles west of me and I couldn't make out any structure whatsoever. Thus I waited too long to move, got caught in the chaser conga line and never did see the tornado.
