certainly.  Jeans a t shirt.    Possible exception made for full court 5 on 5.

I’m with Kev, once I switch to shorts in May I’m in them into October almost exclusively. A wedding or something might lead to pants, but that’s it. 52F or 92F, it’s shorts once the switch flips.  Layer the core to keep it warm when needed, but legs are free.

sprinkler?

Nice find though.  I guess the weather service tossed it, or overlooked it.

I honestly can’t fathom wearing long pants once past about April 1.. unless it’s abnormally cold and I’ll be outside for an extended period. Otherwise shorts are the rule other than when traveling / visiting accounts etc

Lol. That’s insane . Only times most folks seem to wear jeans are 50’s or cooler and even if it’s 50’s shorts are perfectly comfortable with a hoodie or pullover. So when you’re doing yardwork, sitting in the sun , at pool or beach you wear jeans.. do you go in the water in jeans?

we do outdoor work in boots and carhartts, not flip flops and bermuda shorts.  Maybe you could scoop oak leaves out of the pool in those and it would be ok.

Your tan in the summer at the beach must be great. The “Jean” tan. Tanned feet.. a white jean suit above that and then tan from the waist up

I wore shorts golfing yesterday morning and sort of wish I had worn long pants.

Yeah I hiked so it was ok, even at 48F up top.  Layer up the core and organs.  But it was cold on the way down when not working as hard… had to jog a bit to keep temp up.  Wouldn’t have wanted to be standing around.

Starting to remind me a little of that dread summer 2000.  Man that year was like stuck on the date of shits May 5th type weather, straight to October 1st.

I lived in Waltham at the time, utterly preoccupied with other life bs like finding a decent job and sweatin' this old g-f I couldn't get off my mind. Plus just social life was going in different directions in general.  Heh. It was a like I took a sabbatical from Met nerding for a couple years back then.  But, even in that state I'm more than merely tacitly aware of what's going on when it comes to weather shit. That summer was shitty most of the time.  May not be an exact match or even an analog et al, but the results reminds me of this year so far, ...gets/got cool/wet at least excuse imagined, and then whenever a warm outlook happened, it always shirked by 10 F or just outright failed.

As far as this thing on Friday, it is a rarefied ordeal. It happens some times, but this is a cool anomaly nested inside a warmer/much larger synoptic manifold.

Tanned feet?  Is that like the Huck Finn look?

Anyway now that the dews might finally show up (7 weeks late) we'll consider retrieving that bin from the attic.

Know what would be cool ...  heh

take that 5,000 foot thick BL atmosphere, transport it to the middle of the Antarctic winter ice cap and release it all at once...  coke and popcorn the ensuing shenanigans ...

Correct for the typical 20 ..30% Euro amplitude hard on it always has in the late mid+ range and that's our Bahama Blue

Just way too much consternation and wringing of hands. It’s summer.. convective season with plenty of warmth and humidity. A hell of a lot better than Stein snaking around lawns and gardens and up legs.

Following a kidney stone procedure last week, my doctor said I could golf but that I should take a cart.  You don't keep nearly as warm riding instead of walking.

I've been seeing more and more of those asian tiger mosquitos up here. I swear 90% of the ones I kill are those.

Most of the 160-acre public lot on Merrymeeting Bay in Topsham lies about 5 feet above mean high water, with bogs/swamps in abundance, and the tiger-striped mosquitos there are huge.  When we heard something coming toward us, we'd check the engines.  If it had four, we were safe - it was an Orion from the former Brunswick Naval Air Base.
