only a few days out so it can be used in my opinion.. nothing is showing 88 to 92 now though..

What I find interesting is that they should all be showing those temp ranges, given the indexes, but this circumstance ...albeit ultimately not injurious and unnoticeable, is highly unusual

ha, lot of "u" in that sentence.  But it's true.  580 to 588 heights doesn't lend credence to the lower troposphere being depicted.   But... we're inside of D4.5 so it's perhaps just one of those rare 1:10 scenarios.

Plenty of mosquitos here, but May is the black fly month around our area.  In N. Maine the critters peak in June, usually 1st half.  That's for the blood-licking species; there are other species that appear thru Sept (Oct if it's especially mild) that don't bite though they are good at flying into ears/eyes.  Exception is north-central Maine, Medway/Mattawamkeag area, where there's species of biting black flies thru most of the summer.

Maine is it different animal altogether.

Only hope is to get some Bahama Blues at times which is possible with these cutoffs to the west. Sunniest wx might be further east when that happens.

It's a nice day when that sets up... It's dicey though.  A little too far W and your training. Little too far E and it's SE inflow which doesn't do anyone much good.   But you get inside that conduit and it's sun with like 80/68 and cool looking narrow CB towers around.

The black flies were probably the worst I've ever seen them up here back in May. They're still hanging around...just not as bad. The mosquitos were really bad a couple of weeks ago, but they've tapered off too. Now we have some noseeums creeping in.

The ticks have been off the charts. I've seen over 2 dozen of them so far...pulled 3 off my leg in the past week.

I think they may spray down here.   Not sure if they do this up there but a hiss and slow moving truck will come down the street here during the warm season. Not often but perhaps its enough to keep the populations in check.

I was googin' earlier that the wild fires may be burning Rosemary and Sage ( ha) and driving them away.

Not being able to sit outside for 16-19 days here i noticed nothing of what you've experienced.

Gotta give credit to the GGEM if this works out...  Remember? the Euro and GFS spent several runs, like 2 or 3 days ago, where they packed the cut-off ( which is really a shallow feature by the way and should really not be forcing as much mechanical response in the low levels as it is, but what the f ever I guess...) SW far enough to set up a heat wave.

The GGEM never bought it. It's been trying to skunge this pattern all along -

never seen fewer mosquitoes here.  I think the very dry May with multiple frosts and a mid month 27 degree morning must have done a serious number on them.

Don't worry, based on what I see....they'll be the size of blue Jays by the 4th of July.

tough day?  lol

Having come back from DFW last week which tied its all time record DP of 80 on Thursday, I'm thinking we can survive sun and clouds, pop up showers, and mid 60s dews.  Might even break out the shorts finally.  Most of us haven't even considered them since last September.

Ha. Just looks like ass in the extended. Hopefully it’s not wet every day.

You wear jeans when temps are in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s?

Is this 1958 day from a toss-worthy psychrometer?

certainly.  Jeans a t shirt.    Possible exception made for full court 5 on 5.

Lol. That’s insane . Only times most folks seem to wear jeans are 50’s or cooler and even if it’s 50’s shorts are perfectly comfortable with a hoodie or pullover. So when you’re doing yardwork, sitting in the sun , at pool or beach you wear jeans.. do you go in the water in jeans?
