40 degree low-to-high spread under high pressure ( very little airmass change  ) is impressive for this area.  Frosty mornings followed by high temps in the 70s is more typical of high desert climates.

Pellston MI, the Ice Box, was 29 degrees, yesterday. That's pretty bad for May. I guess it's known as being the ice box for being just far enough away from Lake Michigan to get away from the moderating effect of the water, and far enough north to be under the colder temperatures aloft.

I’ve learned to avoid Hwy 61 on holiday weekends, hence why we were up there last weekend. Apparently there have only been 2 precipitation free Memorial Day weekends since 2000 in Minneapolis, this will be the 3rd.

From here on out, it gets like this every weekend. And either starting this year, or next, 61 through town is getting a makeover, so that should slow things down a bit. Out state Senator was able to secure the needed funding to cover the cost increase for the project. With supply issues, and inflation, the project got a bit more expensive.

Looks like a potential 7+ day stretch of 90+ degree days starting tomorrow for this area.

Could be some hit and miss afternoon storms starting Wednesday.  Anyone who is lucky enough to get caught underneath one of them should feel quite fortunte lol.

Gonna be definite hit or miss.my grid has no rain for 10+ days and upper 80s and lower 90s. 2012 lite summer incoming?

As for any chance for rain.... chances are still very low to zero
across southern Wisconsin. There will be some low chance POPs in
the forecast at times for the middle and end of the week. These
low end POPs are a result of some shortwave troughs and low
pressure systems working through the upper level flow and riding
over the high pressure system. With moisture expected to be low
during this time and the better lift well to our west its unlikely
these low chance POPs will amount to anything down here. The more
likely solution at this time are these low chance POPs decreasing
or being removed as we get closer.

Non-stop 90s from here on out for at least the next 10 days.  May even make the upper 90s, especially next weekend.
