Does accumulated Forst still count towards this season’s snow total?

I know you are talking over several months, but May actually is close to 1" a week.  MDT averages .95" (rounded) per week in May and stands .97" behind for the month as of yesterday.    They are also 2.43" behind for the year as of yesterday.  MDT's norm May precip is 3.83".

I guess for optimal growing conditions 1 in a week is needed during the growing season. But most of the time that's not the case.

Sky looks smoky this Am.  Sun being blanked out.  HRRR Smoke panel does not show anything though.

Hazy sunshine to kick off a really nice stretch of mid-Spring #PAwx into late week!
What's with the haze?
Back trajectory shows source region of current airmass over CPA originated in northwest Canada where wildfires have been burning
Model data confirms this showing a high concentration of vertically integrated smoke over CPA today.
So this is why there will be hazy sunshine today and potentially set the stage for a high quality sunset this evening! 5/10/23|550AM

Thanks.  I checked the HRRR smoke panels, and nothing showed up on the ones I looked.  Must have been the wrong panels.  They have different panels for different layers in the atmosphere.   But it surely does look like smoke.

When I got up at 5am I looked at the sky and didn't see any stars. I thought the sky was overcast.

Some of the relative low spots under 400 feet ASL made it down into the 30's this AM. Should be a nice couple of days to finish out the work week with temps reaching the low 70's today and upper 70's tomorrow. Shower chances on the increase by Friday night into Saturday, Sunny for Mom's day.
Records for today: High 94 (1896) / Low 27 (1966) / Rain 1.76" (1990)

Morning all!  Nice little inversion night, with most places around me bottoming out in the mid 40s but the low-lying rurals reaching upper 30s.  Interesting about the smoke.

I still can't believe we ended up a couple degrees above average for yesterday.  What a compete forecast bust, but hey, it happens.  Looks like we'll only be a couple degrees BN by the start of next week.  Then things look to be a bit more seasonable with some cool shots of air even likely for the extended period.  I'll bet May ends up somewhere around average, which I think we'd all take in a heartbeat.

44 was my low. Now we make the quick march straight to summer.

The GFS marched straight to some "Summer Forst" next week.  After the modeling failure yesterday, safe to question but not seeing much in the way of continued summer weather at 500 on the GFS or CMC.   The Atlantic does not want to let Winter go.   I would define summer at temps 85 and above.

On a stupider note. Don't ever go close to a decade without dental care because it takes 3 shots for you not to panic at going to the dentist. After 3 months of hell I've finally caught up and have a 6 pack of high abv to celebrate
