Central PA Spring 2023

Ended up with 1.29 rain from yesterday a good beneficial rain that was very welcome! Not looking forward to what the NWS says is coming frost and possibly hard freeze this week.

 All
guidance supports scattered, diurnally-driven showers across
primarily northern PA Monday and Tuesday. Light wind and
breaking clouds after sunset should result in frost/freeze
concerns over much of central PA, where the growing season has
begun. Ensemble plumes indicate the Monday night will be the
coldest of this stretch, with a hard freeze likely in many
locations and patchy frost possible even into the Lower Susq
Valley.

Just wanted to share this pic of 3 eagles at my place taken on Friday evening. They sat in that tree at least a half hour. A few years ago we seen an Eagle every now and then. Now this year we see the Eagle every day at least and also see more then one as now there are several being sighted all day long. They must love it here. As the creek is stocked by the state and a club with trout. Last week my wife and I witnessed the Eagle swooping down on the ducks on the creek as he went by them he turned around and swooped down on them again on his return. I don't know where there nest is but i imagine its probably close some where along the mountain.

May be an image of vulture, owl, hawk and woodpecker

The race is on now to see how much of the average high MDT can chop off to close the month.  They are currently number one by .4 degrees at 58.7.    The GFS and CMC both have MDT in the 30's or 40's every night to close the month with a couple days in the low to mid 60's for highs but more 50's for 1PM temps.  Will probably get over 60 some of the 50's 1PM days.   The average looks to come well down from the current number 1 spot.

I think it will too.

Just spent 45 min covering and moving stuff.   We bit into the 'Winter is gone for good" mantra (well the female side of the family did.)
