Jmoon
And so it begins. Under first huge downpour. Monsoon like. Let's see how the rain gauges stack up this week.
wncsnow
Today has been a bit of a bust. Only .15 here and the radar is paltry. All went to the east. Most models have backed off some. GFS down to 2 or 3 inches.

wncsnow
That band is barely moving over McDowell with some crazy rates. Its a couple miles west of my location but gave me .67 in 20 minutes. A flash flood warning might be issues if it doesn't start weakening or moving.
Ja643y
Yea, I'm just up 226 from Marion... It has not let up for nearly 2 hours. I'm from Florida, so know some good rainfall rates, and although I don't have a gauge here, would be we've picked up 2.5 to 3 inches just since 8a. BooneWX
221 is shut down near Linville Falls due to a sink hole. I’m afraid it’s a sign of more issues to come. Y’all be safe.

Met1985
Got a ton of rainfall overnight. Had so much rain my basement is leaking which happens whenever we get usually over an 1 or 2. Left for school this morning and was still raining. Looks like a rather wet day on tap and also a very cool day with highs in the 60s again.

I know all about that from experience. No fun at all.We were largely spared much additional rainfall overnight. Cool, wedgy, and drizzly on tap today! May not make it out of the 60s in Hickory! That’s my kind of June weather. .
