Welp, I'm guessing that a bear broke/stole my weather station last night thinking it was a toy or a scratching post or something. I guess it's broken...it's not sending a signal, it's nowhere to be found, and the pole it was on is bent. But Ray's station a half mile away says we only dropped to 52 last night.

The last two night have been perfect radiation for us. It's been downright cold in the morning.  Pretty remarkable at the temp and sometimes snow differences from your place to mine.

It really is. I think in regards to temps sometimes my being 200’ higher gets me into the inversion band more sometimes and I’m not sure how but I think also being on the county line ridge affects me somehow, thinking in regards to orientation as I’m on a north-south ridge line facing WSW.  Obviously flow snow depends on wind orientation and I’m sure 5000’+ peaks and ridge lines in Crabtree and Sandy Mush Balds being within 3 miles might Rob some moisture depending on that.

I have recorded 0.33 inch so far with light rain continuing, but the back edge is nearby.

I don’t understand where the evening’s/night’s rain is coming from. Is this current disturbance redeveloping? Is the disturbance over western KY/TN supposed to make it here this evening? Where is the source of the projected showers/thunderstorms?

From what some of the models are showing a squall line will develop but im not sure if there is enough instability for that to occure with this first batch of rain. So far our high temp is only 63 and still very overcast...
