I believe it snowed about 4-6" here in lste April or early May 2017. I remember coming up here from asheville for a horne inspection before we closed and having snow on the ground. Not particularly looking forward to this next stretch of cool, wet weather. At least we aren't seeing any freezes bad enough to hurt the trees and flowers yet. Just Wednesday it looked like a good chance for high elevation snow and 20s, and now my official forecast is only 31 tomorrow night.I would say one of them will eventually stick but the last 4 months have been nothing but cold in the extended that never works out. However, I have seen snow in Asheville in years past on Halloween and went cross country skiing on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Mt Pisgah in May. There is at least a shot at winter weather for over six months of the year in WNC.
