Are You Kidding Me??????????????????

89 degrees for a high temp in Dale City?!!!!!!!! What on earth is going on?

Your normal high is 65, your normal low is 44!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boston hit 88 also, low 56. Norm for them is 53/39.

Maybe we've hit a critical desalinization point. (AMOC slowdown potential).

Well, yeah, when you have 19 yards!

Can confirm, 19 yards is a b**** to spread. Have a small area left to do this morning. Can also confirm I ordered too much (by about 4-5 yards) - I’m a CPA but suck at math apparently ha. I posted free mulch on Nextdoor to use it up.

Ob:  57 for the low. Really enjoying the ‘cool’ mornings and warm afternoons.

Pollen has been crankin' as expected after such dry conditions the past few days...damn near desert-like conditions.  Pretty unusual pattern, though I must say, it's been a very comfortable 80s with the low dews.  We need the rain, though.  Little Bennett was drier than usual yesterday, but I had to shrug a bit at the puddles in the places that I feel never dry out.  There's always 1 or 2 of those on every trail around here.

Don't know about sneaky, we've been in Elevated Fire Danger mode for a few days now (Fire Weather Watch for many a couple days ago - or was it yesterday?)

Ran into a grass fire along 522N headed home Wednesday evening that required a 911 call.

Yes. A.grass. fire.  In April.  Unreal.

It’s nice out, but the pollen has been killing me

I know cool weather will come back, but what's the over/under on additional frost this spring in the I95 corridor? Saw some tomatoes at the big orange box and thinking about taking a chance on a few.

gotta be near zero right?  at least for the urban corridors

Leaf-out progress in my neighborhood appears to be where it was at the end of April/beginning of May 2020.

This inspired me to go back through my phone and look at some old photos.  Trees in our yard seem to be about 7-10 days ahead of last year.

We are ~2 weeks past average last frost for the urban areas.  Don't know the actual odds, but seems doubtful for a freeze.  Average last frost in the N&W suburbs is ~April 18-25 (depending on how far N&W you go).
