Mogget
Heaviest snowfall this winter. Already closing in on 8 inches.
Sciascia
Looks like a lull before some more snow as it exits. Wonder if the storms down south stole any of the moisture since (pretty much all) models had snow falling uninterrupted until afternoon.

Up_north_MI
We’re under a winter storm warning for 6-10 with high winds here in northern lower MI, probably looking at another month of this type weather before we turn the corner to Spring, so glad we’re heading to FL next week, I’m “wintered” out!
cyclone77
3.3" here. DVN/MLI both over 5" as of an hour ago, so they'll likely pass 6". Heaviest snows stalled a bit northwest of here, but still a solid event here.
hawkeye_wx
10" report now north of the Quad Cities.
Geoboy645
We are experiencing 2-3" hour rates here right now from this. When I went to bed at midnight it was practically bare ground, and now there's at least 4" on the ground. The deformation band is just sitting right on top of us. We are going to way overperform on this storm.

That area there around Lowden/TIpton have been ground zero 3-4 times in the past month or so lol. They likely have well over 40" for the season in that little zone. Nice snow globe action here with the final/shriveling band sweeping back through. May make a run at 4".

Geoboy645
I guess I way underestimated how much snow there is out. There's a report from just east of me of 8" of snow. In like three hours. These are some of the heaviest rates I have experienced in quite some time. Insane considering that it's March 25th. Also with this storm we are going to be entering at least the top 10 if not top 5 snowiest Marches all time at Madison and Green Bay.

Weather patterns can be so repetitive. Basically needed to be almost at the state line and north all winter to receive good snows.

cyclone77
A 13 and 15 inch report now as well up in northwest IL. Probably legit too as this is about as easy of a snow as there is to measure.

cyclone77
Not so much in this sub, but tomorrow's little wave coming out into IA looks very vigorous. Looks like there could be a narrow stripe of heavy snow from Omaha up through Des Moines. Wouldn't be surprised to see some big totals in a narrow swath there. Des Moines got 7-8" a few weeks ago when there wasn't even an advisory in effect, so it'd be pretty funny if that happened again. No headlines out there as of yet.
