WxSynopsisDavid
A vehicle got sucked into the tornado and lifted into the upper most portion of the vortice. Adam Lucio has video of the vehicle getting sucked into the vortice, won’t share it due to sensitivity but here’s a screenshot of the vehicle going up into the upper most portion of the vortice.

You would need a tornado of that strength to hit the center of a major metro area because that's pretty much the only place you'd find good enough construction. And I mean like the center-center not the suburbs (which have houses of questionable build quality 95% of the time)
WxSynopsisDavid
Florist shop in Rolling Fork, made of brick, completely slabbed. Most of the slab was wiped clean. One of the anchor bolts was completely removed from the slabbed and bent. Also notice the tree damage in the background.

Chinook
I didn't really expect this to go to MODERATE at mid-day, but certainly the deep-layer shear is there Quote Episodic severe thunderstorms will persist into tonight across a broad portion of the Deep South/Southeast States. A few strong tornadoes and very large hail may occur with the most intense storms, particularly from central Louisiana across central/southern portions of Mississippi and Alabama this afternoon and evening. 6-hr mesoanalysis (RAP) forecast of STP with the radar from (I believe) the HRRR 6hr forecast
