Ah. That will overinflate. You should never clear more frequently than every 6hrs. I just measure on my board hourly, but only clear it at the 6-8hr frequencies.

What do you have for an untouched new total on the ground?

I have no spot that I can measure undisturbed.  This morning I had a good untouched measurement of 7.5 but  then the shoveling and the tractor, snowblower etc. and from that point I measured when I shoveled.   So I'm defintitely confident of having had 11+ just given rates since the 7.5, but I know it isn't proper.

Pretty steady -SN/SN in this mid level stuff. Coming down heavy enough to keep the roads a little slick. Drove southwest a bit toward Hollis and didn’t see much Phil but quite a few traffic lights out so he must be lurking.

Just my two cents but I want to thank all the mets and knowledgeble hobbyist for all their input into the analysis of this storm starting at least a week ago.  The progression of this event has just about all of the aspects a person could expect from a coastal.  This has been a tremendous learning event.  My only regret is it wasn't a DC to Boston KU.  It's been sooooo long.

The snow aspect of the storm didn’t really pan out here but this storm was far from a disappointment. We got nearly a months worth of rain in just 2 days, that’s really fucking cool. Easily one of the most fun events I’ve tracked in the last decade with all the uncertainty.

Just some bad luck for Boston metro at the moment between the bands but that KLWM-KORH-KBDL band is regenerating and rotating in... I think we at least whiten in the next few hours. Sunset will help.
