Pretty much light stuff for us for awhile. Maybe we can get a little mid level magic later when the low backs in and we get an arm of precip moving through E to W.

it isn't light snow here.  definitely moderate and stacking up.  by not quite fully heavy.  viz is low due to small flakes.

Rad p/type just surged to the coast ... went from between 495 and 128 to Arlington Heights in like 10 minutes of sweep...

It happened, interestingly enough, right when my aggregate size when small...  I had just got done entering a post about the snow type being large with no particles in the gap... visibility being disproportionately up for S/S+ ... etc, when no sooner...poof.. .now we have uniform smaller sizes and also a wind shift more from ENE to NNE ... so something's up

good observation! Noticed the same thing here over the past 20 mins.

That's a bit killer with this dry slot...temps are going to rise a bit, but we get the band to traverse they'll drop back towards freezing.

That's why the mesos are so light on snowfall totals when it comes to the clowns.

Warms 2m another degree or two. They were wrong this morning, so we'll see.

Nashua, right? You’ll get back into it in a bit. The band that just came through Westford was epic.

Yep. Definitely coming down hard but we’ve gone from big parachutes to much smaller aggregates since about 10:30 or so.

I don't remember if this was posted, but this is the 12z RAP...this is the best look yet from the RAP.

IF you look at thermals though it has rain and temps in the mid 30's in the valleys...I don't buy that at all.

This band means business occasional strong wind gusts and 1-2” per hour rates ..
