snowman19
lol, 10 inches? Actual 0.00Storm vista snowmaps are so severely overdone it’s laughable. Not even close to reality. This is a typical mid March daytime white rain storm south of Orange County. I’m expecting an inch or 2 on grassy surfaces here in Rockland l, not going to stick on roadways today
Picard
Steady moderate snow here. 1.5" on non-paved surfaces. 31F Some schools are closed, and others are on delayed openings.
wishcast_hater
Eyeballing about four or 5 inches so far. .
MANDA
Currently 29 degrees. Light snow falling. Total so far is 1.5" on unpaved surfaces. It is sticking everywhere but paved surfaces took longer to start accumulating so depth on those surfaces is less. Looks pretty wintry with the gusty wind blowing the snow around.

Picard
In the last twenty minutes I've dropped from 31 to 30 and the snow intensity has increased, which is leading to it sticking to pavement now. Schools that chose to remain open might be in for a bit of backlash this morning. Doesn't bother me personally, but with buses and student drivers, it creates a concern with the timing of this. Winterweatherlover
I looked at all models and definitely a trend snowier overnight even on kuchera maps. Maybe I’ll get an inch or two on grass.
Bxstormwatcher360
This is one big storm, when it snows in philly up to maine. Rapidly expanding precip shield should keep is wintry in the metro..esp if heavy bands set up. 2
JustinRP37
Have about two inches here in Patterson. Very heavy wet stuff. Took longer to change over so finally accumulations will likely be below 7 inches. Power outages are increasing too.
WIN
Up to 3.5 (measured) on non paved and about 1 to 1.5 on paved. And I'm south of orange county, in nw Morris County. Not looking to argue, just a point of information.

NJwx85
When I left home it was 33 degrees and mostly white rain. When I hit Suffern on the Thruway it really picked up. I would say visibility was down to about 1/4 of a mile near the exit for Airmont. So far about 2" on non paved surfaces here in Ramsey. Car said 30 degrees, phone says 32 degrees. Either way, I think we're a touch colder than originally forecast. I think if this had fallen last night a lot more would have stuck.
CPcantmeasuresnow
31.1 and snow very light now as dry slot moves in. This storm will torture you even when it does snow. 5.0 inches on the ground.

crossbowftw3
Seeing reports approaching 2’ from Mass/VT, they’re the clear winners of this one. 30+ seems like a certainty and a 40 spot isn’t unrealistic right now for them

Picard
I noticed a marked difference in heading from Sparta west to the outskirts of Newton for work. There is much less snow (not even an inch yet) on the ground here and the snow intensity got less. The elevation here is 570 feet vs. 800 feet at our house.
