JustinRP37
I would offer our guest room to those that want to see snow but it is claimed this week. Taking my son skiing a few times this week too. This is the perfect week for his “spring” break.

It's like using digital zoom on a camera, something I'm well familiar with. It looks like it's picking up a lot of extra detail not seen in optical zoom, but that extra "detail" really isn't there and can result in an inaccurate image with false detail. Just say that the NAM itself is the digital zoom of weather models and call it a day/week/month/season lol

JustinRP37
Catskills really look good on just about ever model. Incredible for there.

You can't trust anything 5 days out anymore I would suggest not looking at models like the NAM and ICON. The RGEM has been consistent with a non event for NYC. That’s why I’m not that surprised/disappointed.

I still think we see some accumulations, 1-3 being very likely, and don't think 3-6 is totally out of the question. 3-6 would be a very good event at this time of year for NYC.
Snowlover11
well besides that outrageous 12z nam, this is looking like a non event(anything 6+”)below I-84.

mannynyc
RGEM goes east. Its track is similar to the NAM but it is significantly warmer.

JustinRP37
It never was a blockbuster for the city. Get out of here. This was always a higher elevation and northern storm. This is not “over”. Take the train to Wassaic or Poughkeepsie

This winter has been atrocious, so just accept any snow at this point. Sorry it doesn't look good for the city, but I'm honestly glad I moved further away this past year.
SRRTA22
Models are real convinced the southern low chases this area of vorticity and convection way out to sea , which causes way to late of a phase for us. I'm not sure how this plays out honestly. Gonna come down to watching that southern stream L in real time
