Roads are covered west of U.S. 52 in Winston, but mostly not covered east of U.S. 52. However, I saw a car in the ditch near Walkertown off U.S. 311, which is partially covered in snow in shaded and valley areas. Road conditions are deteriorating throughout Winston. I just drove a few miles north and the accumulations are significantly better. I won't get more than a dusting until the temps fall another degree at the surface. Are you still just getting rain? The good news is that the radar is filling back in over West Georgia as the two main bands are merging once again as the trough continues to deepen. I think you should change over in the next hour if you haven't already. You might be on the lower end of the 2-5" but you will get some accumulation. I know I'm very close to the cutoff,once the precip lets up in intensity I still get sleet and a littlre rain.Heavier precip has been all snow.
