haven't even had a winter and i'm still so ready for it to end...sort of like a hangnail or something, it wasn't really bad, just annoying, but it can go at any time

We had a super extended Fall in my eyes. Now, bang, right into Spring/Summer. And probably a bad mosquito/gnat and our friend the spotted laternfly season. Add in allergies, heat, high DPs and we're entering a dismal period. Severe weather is the only bright spot and that's not guaranteed. I'd pay to FF right to September...

Today's morning low was 22.5 this was the coldest morning since the 21.0 low on February 5th. Today will be our last well below normal day for quite a while. Temps look to rebound to near normal tomorrow and then get to well above normal by Thursday. Dry weather looks likely till our next rain chances come Friday.
Records for today: High 79 (1918) / Low 7 (1993) / Precipitation 3.15" (1958) / Snow 17.0" (1958). That 1958 snowstorm was the storm that brought over 40" of snow to much of NW Chester County into SE Berks County with Morgantown recording a storm total of 50.0"

Happy 1st day of spring to those who celebrate! We will reach a near normal high today of near 50 degrees before we warm almost 10 degrees tomorrow to near 60. The warmest day of the week looks to be on Thursday with highs in the middle 60's but also a chance of some showers.. We could use some rain as we have not seen any measurable rain since the 11th.
Records for today: High 83 degrees (1945) / Low 9 degrees (1965) / Precipitation 1.28" (1958) / Snow 3.5" (1965)

I actually bottomed out a degree lower this morning than yesterday morning with a low of 25. But in this case, it was due to radiational cooling when the winds went calm overnight vs yesterday when there was apparently all kinds of CAA going on with the winds whipping most of the night.

It's currently mostly sunny and 36 with dp 19.

Today should be the best day of the week with temps near 60 degrees and sunny! Rain chances start to increase by Thursday through Saturday. This would be some much needed rain for the many farmers in the county. We may not see another sub freezing morning for at least the next week or longer.
Records for today: High 85 (1948) / Low 12 (1986) / Precipitation 3.45" (2000) / Snow 5.0" (1932)

I heard through my spies that Cecily as usual showed a climate warming graph that started with 1970....why not go back to 1870???

Through today we are only at 62% of normal precipitation. Much of this due to our snow drought ( we should be at over 34" of snow so far this season but stand at only 2.7") However, we received 0.14" of much needed rain overnight with more over the way over the next 3 days. With somewhere around 0.50" possible. Today will be mild then we turn much chillier for both tomorrow and Saturday. The NWS has highs in the 50's for both Friday and Saturday...my bet is we get nowhere near that warm as both Friday and especially look like we won't escape the 40's with a chilly cold rain. The sun returns on Sunday with temps near normal in the mid-50's
Records for today: High 81 (1907) / Low 14 (1940) / Precipitation 1.20" (1903) / Snow 4.5" (1896)

It's like a love note.

6z ditches the idea and blows it through faster (1st image is the same time as yours and the 2nd is 12 hours earlier with an almost disorganized rainstorm).

As an obs, have had scattered showers this morning with a brief interlude of sun before it clouded up again.  Had a low of 47 and am currently overcast and 50 with 0.09" of rain so far.

This is a great global map that truly puts the "crisis" in perspective....Image

I can't go down this path with you, I just cant.  If you don't realize that humans, through the release of carbon that has been trapped in the earths crust for millions of years is causing the extreme increases in the past century in global temps, then I don't know what to say.  Not sure where you got that graph, but this one is far more realistic.  Using a 10 degree spread is a bit misleading, to say the least.
