Catoctin: “for godsake, I am NOT Saruman I have no control over any of this”

Unfortunately being the league president AND the meteorologist means all eyes on me.  Would be nice to just pass along the forecast and let someone else make the decision :D

Last summer, I suggested to the team reps from the other team at our first B Meet of the season that we cancel the meet due to storms. They were training over DC and building towards us (ominously), but while we postponed because of thunder to start and then cancelled, it ended up that we could have picked it back up again because the storms fizzled out.

Needless to say, no one was terribly happy with me that day. Maybe if it had been the last B Meet of the season folks would have been fine with it!

Double-barrel high risk coming out today. When’s the last time there have been two separate high risk areas?

I seriously thought you were referring to  a new barrel-aged beer when I read the first sentence.

The second sentence disabused me of that notion.

Wow 17 atmospheric rivers. That’s incredible.

I love those rivers SO MUCH! I wish Palisades and Mammoth and Alta and Bear Valley could have 17 MORE in April. I wub deep snow and watching vids of people slaving away trying to dig chairlifts and HOUSES out of meters of snow! Nothing gladdens my heart more! Something like that would merit about ten thousand Bob Chill FACES!

near the Mississippi and Tennessee borders have shown signs of
better organization over the last hour. The southern of the two

You gotta be kidding me.
