wxdude64 Posted March 1, 2023 Share Posted March 1, 2023 My numbers for Feb 2023 Averaged high was 53.9 degrees vs a normal of 46.0 degrees, a +7.9 degrees above average and is 3rd warmest recorded here behind 2017's 55.4 and 1990's 55.1 degree readings. Warmest day was the 24th with a 71.7 degree reading. Averaged low was 32.1 degrees vs a normal of 24.0 degrees, a +8.1 degrees above average and sliding into 2nd place as warmest minimum, only being beat by 1998's 32.3 degree mark. Coldest temp recorded was 11.4 degrees on the 4th. Overall averaged temp was 43.0 degrees vs a normal of 35.0 degrees, and sets a new Feb record, breaking 1990's 42.8 degree reading. Total precip for the month was 4.44 inches vs a normal of 2.67 inches, a +1.77 above average. The wettest day was the 13th with 1.78 inches falling. There were 13 measurable days, 3 days with a "T" and 12 dry days. Total snowfall for the month was a pitiful 0.4 inches vs a normal of 5.9 inches, a -5.5 inches below normal and falling into 4th place behind 1988 0.0, 2020's 0.2 and T's for 1990/91/99 and 2017. The ONLY snowfall was the 0.4 falling on the 2nd, which makes it the heaviest for the month. There were 4'T's and 23 snowless days. The highest wind recorded was 41 mph on the 22nd. Lots of records besides the major new Feb monthly average temp. New 'warm minimums' set on the 9th, 10th, 17th and 24th. A new record high temp set on the 24th. Two new daily rainfall records on 13th and 17th.
