Eskimo Joe Posted February 23, 2023 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Visible satellite shows low level clouds trying to work southwest along the NJ and DE coasts. This might be an inkling into a back door cold front trying to work down towards Baltimore/Philly/Delmarva. But surface observations show a broad southwest flow at the surface which may limit it's extent. Looks like the HRRR and RAP beat the NAM on how far north the warm sector would advance today. Let's go for 80 degrees! All of the CAMs nicely depict cooler air to our east coming westward towards our area, but they really don't have it arriving until after dark. Let's go for 80 degrees! Yea, if you look at the surface map, it doesn't scream 70+ degrees lol...well, at least to this novice. I think there was just enough separation between the mid-level low and the surface low to the northeast, along with the SER, to get this warm today (once the cap broke).
