Yeah, EPO went negative for a few days. That's why models are showing snowstorms too (they are overinitializing current conditions).
George BM
Assuming we don't go below 26F at IAD before midnight the high/low at IAD for today looks like: 48/26 Today's average at IAD: 47/27 +1/-1 Perfectly balanced... as all should be. CAPE
55 here. Been outside pulling out chickweed and dandelions in the plant beds, and putting down some fresh mulch. NOT summer is great!
87storms
Shot some hoops for a bit. The wind is a little spicy today, so it was more of a dribbling session, but temps are very nice. All-star game is at 730...hoping it's a good one because the other festivities have been pretty entertaining so far.
nj2va
Strolled around Thomas, WV earlier with my parents in short sleeves and 58 degrees. Sun angle was strong.
George BM
Another very gusty afternoon it looks like coming up this Tuesday w/ steep 0-2km LRs and 1-2km winds into the 40s(kts)... at least on the HRRR. Got to imagine that other CAMs are fairly similar.

Timing is ideal with the winds swinging through at mid afternoon peak surface heating. 3km NAM has it too.

wxdude64
Just got back from Roanoke (well Rocky Mount picking up new furniture) and it was 65/66 on bank therms an hour ago, 61 when I went by the bank at Daleville 45 minutes ago and either 52 or 53 depending on which of the 4 thermometers I have up at the house when I got in... nj2va
Great weather today with lots of people outside doing activities. I was able to get some work done around the yard today - trimmed back the liriope and ornamental grass before new growth starts, and transplanted our three ‘younger’ hydrangeas into a location that has more shade. Spring fever.
George BM
Now some CAMs have up to 200+J/kg CAPE w/ steep LLLRs when the front moves through between midday and 3pm tomorrow. Some CAMs develop showers along/near said front. Given the thermodynamics and kinematics in place I would think there could be enhanced wind gusts, particularly w/ any heavier showers that form. Some smail hail would also looks possible w/ the most intense showers, along with a lightning bolt or two. Shower potential increases the further north you are in the area.

87storms
It got breezy for sure, but not sure if the wind really produced as advertised. At least in Frederick, I’ve seen windier days here. I will say that the dry air moving in is felt…dews are low and I’m pretty sure my allergies have been kicking in the last few days, which is kinda ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind some snow in March to offset that a little bit.
