Not so much: Around my area (about the center of the brown) we have not seen an above normal precip month since Oct 2021. Hope it is right but I have my doubts!!
Chinook
Anybody from Toronto in here? The GFS says -14F (-26C) with a wind of 10 knots (19 km/h) on Friday morning. The NAM has some temperatures that are not quite so cold.

The Lakes are quite warm at the moment. I think the suburbs, where I am, has a shot of making it down that far. YYZ, maybe -4F.

madwx
Going to be an impressively short cold blast tonight and tomorrow. Only 30 hours of Arctic air and then we are back above average
Chambana
High temps for my area the next nine days 42,19,40,47,49,49,48,45,40. A true bummer of a winter, almost rivaling 2011-2012.

Hoosier
A noticeable amount of snow has melted from some grassy areas yesterday/today despite temps in the mid 30s w/low dews yesterday and temps barely getting into the teens today. The sun angle monster is starting to awaken.
michsnowfreak
Went for a walk in a park before sunset and I have to admit I thought of @beavis1729 several times. With the biting cold air and snow crunching underfoot, It's the perfect Winter day (obviously meaning for a day that's not actually seeing snow fall lol). I love when everything's frozen.

Chinook
My place had 4 sunny days in a row with snow on the ground. The last time my place had 4 sunny days within maybe a span of 5 days was probably November or October, with nearly summertime temperatures.
Brian D
Prelim data in for Jan, and coming in a little shy of the top 5. But fully expect as more data comes in from various data sets during the month that that will change with at least a 0.5 increase, putting the final number easily top 5. Here are the 5 & 10 year trend charts for the month.
madwx
Absolutely top notch outside. We’re at the point in the winter where sunshine and upper 20s means only wearing a sweatshirt outside

cyclone77
You can definitely see the first hint of spring fever already hitting. Lots of people out today on walks, car washes jam packed, and people just outside to be outside. Snow is quickly melting here and should be completely gone be tomorrow. MLI up to 45 making a run at 50. EDIT: MLI did end up hitting 50.
