I see now why Forky laughs at snowfall "measurements" they are highly variable, imprecise and not really scientific. guys, in all fairness, you’re talking about less than an inch of snow. How precise could it be? It melts as soon as the sun comes out

We'll have another party when we measure the first 1.0" lol To show how little this is, there's a construction crew outside right now drilling on my street. They never do this in bad weather. Volcanic Winter
I thought about trying to measure what fell, then I looked to my left and right and saw my neighbors getting ready to leave for work. For the sake of my dignity I avoided sticking a ruler into the somewhere between trace and .3 inches. Happy everyone got something, but yikes this winter. I’ve never paid so much attention to a dusting in my life, honestly.
gpsnavigator
Twenty flakes on my hood this morning, which amounts to exactly zero accumulation (or is it technically recorded as a trace?).

wdrag
So far, as I know it, NYC and PHL first measurable of the winter. Waiting on DC and BWI for which I have yet to find out. EC much too heavy with its good axis (18z/31 op) and Canadian models a bit too robust and too far north to I84. 3

I think February could pull a +8 or +9 which would rank this winter as #1 in futility Insane stuff. Probably record early green ups

This winter is a continuation of the pattern of the past decade. The north shore has had twice as much snow as Central Park. On a more serious, yet equally frivolous note, 0.4" here this morning. Same as the park. 1

I just did an entire loop from UWS to 57th up to 96th and back in CP and unless that board was perched a couple hundred feet in the air, there was absolutely no place that measured that much snow there. 1
